Venting, Educating, Explaining & to stop annoying my friends with emails!
I used to be quite liberal and have probably done more volunteering, service and protests to aid the Democratic Party than most democrats I know. I understand the intention, idealism and good will behind the democratic agenda, or at the very least it’s supporters (the non name-calling, emotionally angry ones). Like many, I made a complete switch to the Right after 9/11 when it became clear that national security should be our #1 priority.
As I researched the Republican agenda/ideals more and more it turned out that the ideology I’d been lead to believe was evil is actually common sense, based in historic fact, economically sound, not at all racist and more beneficial to the greater good.
I believe in low taxes, limited government, strong military, pro-choice and drink way too much coffee.
